Cuddington Youth Drama performed three times at MAD About Waddesdon at Waddesdon Manor on 27th June 2009.

Opening the day's events on the Bandstand Stage were Ilona, Hannah and Elena, collectively calling themselves Papillon. Ilona started off the set with Gone In The Morning by Newton Faulkner, with harmonies from Elena and Hannah. This was followed by Hannah's rendition of the Leann Rimes song How do I live?, and then Elena's version of Sweet Pea by Amos Lee, accompanying herself on guitar.

Ilona's next song was It's Amazing, the recent hit by Jem, with Elena and Hannah singing harmonies once again. Elena's next song was Ain't No Sunshine, a hit for Michael Jackson in the early seventies and an especially poignant choice following so soon after his tragic death.

Hannah rounded off the set with a hilarious version of the song Popular from the musical Wicked.

CYD's next performance was on the huge Orbit Stage, with two songs from our production of Peter Pan. The first song was Braves To War, a spectacular war dance complete with totem pole and camp fire. Thanks to Sarah Chapman for the amazing choreography for this number, and to Pauline Sullivan for the wonderful costumes. This was followed by Don't Say Goodbye, the last song in the play and a sad moment when Peter Pan and Wendy realise that they have to part.

CYD's final contribution to MAD About Waddesdon 2009 was back at the Bandstand Stage, with two short improvised drama sketches and a very funny version of Blind Date.
